I absolutely adore this movie. It is just so much fun. From the horrible killing of the screeching evil bugs... to the awesome infomercials which push the films storyline along.

STORY: 4/7 - (Join the Mobile Infantry and save the Galaxy)
Johnny Rico is a clean cut boy from Buenos Aires, who joins the Federal Service to become a citizen. Unfortunately for Rico, Earth is attacked by giant bugs and he is sent to war!!

ACTING: 4/7 - (You're some sort of big, fat, smart-bug, aren't you?)
Totally over-acted, but in the best way possible!!
Casper Van Dien and The Eyebrows (Denise Richards) are great!

CINEMATOGRAPHY / VISUAL EFFECTS: 5/7 - (*insert squelching noise here*)
AWESOME visual effects here. Firstly there's the giant bugs!! Then of course there's the giant bugs getting shot to death. Pure brilliance.

SCORE / SOUND: 4/7 - (wow, lots of 4's here)
Pretty cool score. nothing all that special, but still pretty good.

GORE RATING: 5/7 - (Here's a tip: Aim for the nerve stem, and put it down for good)
Some nice exploding bugs... lots of green slime. some big open wounds too... and there's the scene where the guy fingers into the big empty head wound!
