A movie based on a stageshow based on a BAND!

I won tickets to the PREMIER!
I doubt that i would have BOUGHT tickets with my own money.

Honestly... REALLY didn't like this one!
First of all, i'm NOT an abba fan at all... i know, SHOCK HORROR!
I guess it was pretty fun and stuff... visually pretty nice.
But as a boy... i was left a little bit dry while surrounded by explosions of female empowerment.

STORY: 3/7 (ummm, ok)
So she's getting married at 20, and doesn't know her dad. Her mum was a bit of a slut, so there are three possible guys. A few songs... i didn't really CARE which one it was.

ACTING: 4/7 (famous people)
We all know meryl streep is a goddess, and Julie Walters is one of my favourites!
But honestly... neither of them made it to their usual standards.

CINEMATOGRAPHY / VISUAL EFFECTS: 6/7 (oooh, greece!)
Ok, so THIS is the one redeeming feature of this movie... GORGEOUS landscapes!

SCORE / SOUND: ?
Again, i don't really remember ANY score from this movie!

SONGS: 1.5/7 (mamma mia indeed!)
Welly well well well...
So i don't like abba... but i LOVE musicals... Unfortunately i don't know if i would even call this a musical. Yes, there was singing... but the songs were just... EXACTLY abba songs... and they weren't really put INTO the movie...
it was just ACTING ACTING ACTING SINGING ACTING ACTING.
And the singing wasn't the best i've heard in a while... Meryl Streep certainly had a set of pipes on her... but i learnt that in 2006's "A Prairie Home Companion" and this didn't met the prairie home companion standards.
Pierce Brosnan... OH MY GOODNESS!! HORRORFYING!! the cinema literally LAUGHED when he... well, TRIED to sing SOS.
