I have a brilliant theory that people keep telling me is total bullshit... but when you add this one simple factor to the story... everything becomes a BILLION times more interesting.

MIRANDA IS THE DEVIL (1975)

An interesting story about how evil takes the form of innocence to destroy all it can.

STORY: 5/7
Miranda is loved by all who see her. She seems like the personification of beauty and innocence. When going on an excursion to hanging rock, she convinces a group of girls to follow her onto the dangerous rock, where she then leads them to the doorway of hell. Unfortunately, the one girl she wanted isn't there: Her lesbian lover, Sarah. Miranda then torments her school principal over Sarah.

ACTING: 4/7
Anne Lambert does a brilliant job. All it takes is a long pause ora tilt of the head for her to convey her evil intentions with the audience.

CINEMATOGRAPHY / VISUAL EFFECTS: 4/7
Everything is bleak and slow. A very interesting take on how Satan would view earth.

SCORE / SOUND: -4/7
Those pan pipes are still really annoying.

A chilling story. "Everything begins and ends at exactly the right time and place."
